Description

This is an entry-level position with opportunity to advance. Preference will be giving to those applicants who have a CDL Driver’s License and experience with road and underground utility construction and maintenance. Applicants without CDL’s must have a clean driving record and be able to obtain a CDL within six months. The duties of the position are assigned by the Street Department Supervisor and may include nights, weekends, and holidays. The starting hourly rate for the position is $11.00 following successful completion of a 6 month probation. The City offers all employees medical insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, and participation in the Maryland State Pension System. Street Department employees are also provided uniforms, boots, and winter coats valued at over $1,000 per year.
