Group: Human Resources – People Development TeamLocation: Raleigh-Durham, NC Position Type: Full Time | Exempt Purpose: The organizational development (OD) manager position acts as organizational development liaison/advisor to the firm's leadership and facilitates the organization's learning and training initiatives across the organization. The OD manager plans, develops, implements and administers HR programs for company employees. This position is also responsible for development and integration of human resource programs and associated projects to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives. As a People Development team member, you'll always be thinking of new ways to help others grow, and you share a passion for empowering employers to unlock their full potential. Essential Job FunctionsLead the design, development, and implementation of programs, policies and strategies tailored to meet training and organizational development needs and goals for all levels of the organizationDirect the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.Identify and incorporate best practices and lessons learned into program plans.Provide expertise in strategy development and execution, planning and facilitation of employee relations efforts.Design and develop HR training programs for management and employees.Develop learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans.Review evaluations of training courses, objectives, and accomplishments.Make assessments of the effectiveness of training regarding employee accomplishments and performance.Consult with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.Educate and coach management through implementation of corporate talent management processes and initiatives including development planning, employee engagement, and team effectiveness.Maintain and improve existing employee programs, including Tompkins Leadership Academy, Cultural Enrichment program and YouEarnedIIt.Create additional talent programs that will support the various aspects of the business strategy and its population. Manages the organization’s employee engagement and retention initiatives to increase organizational and individual performance. Executes on strategies and programs to measure the progress against established goalsManage and lead short- and long-term organizational development programs. Qualifications and competenciesBA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience8 years of work experience, including 6 years in a related field (Learning & Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, HR)Internal communications and engagement experienceA passion for the creative processA love for expansive and creative thinkingAn analytical and rigorous approach to uncovering insightsHigh emotional intelligence and empathy for human behavior and organizational psychologyExcellent verbal/written communication, facilitation and presentation skillsVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmImpeccable judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities, workflow, and people to drive tasks through to completionStrong business acumenCommitment to excellence and high standardsHighly motivated, curious, dynamic and empathetic Tompkins International is a supply chain consulting and implementation firm that maximizes supply chain performance and value creation.
