Lucas Boudet is the Director General of the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA).The European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) is the single authoritative voice on advertising self-regulation issues in Europe. Effective advertising self-regulation helps ensure responsible advertising and thus helps secure consumer trust in advertising and in brands. Its membership is composed of industry associations representing all the components of the advertising ecosystem, from advertisers and agencies to media, as well as 27 self-regulatory organisations across Europe which address consumer complaints and provide advice to marketers. EASA aims to promote and strengthen its self-regulatory network by providing guidance and high operational standards as well as fostering dialogue at European level to address common challenges and make sure advertising standards are futureproof.Before joining EASA, Lucas Boudet has been running for the last 10 years self-financed independent membership driven business associations in Belgium, Thailand and South Korea. He holds a Master’s degrees in entrepreneurial studies from the Paris Institute of Political Science as well as in French and Anglo-American business law from the University of Paris.
